B-Security is looking for an Engineering Coordinator.
The essence of the Engineering Coordinator position lies in engineering support, implementation and consulting. You will be the first point of contact for the Engineering Manager on technical matters and support the Monitoring Alarm Receiving Center (MARC) with technical questions. You will periodically test the emergency power systems, fire alarm system, intrusion alarm, video systems, etc. You will also be involved in various projects and provide workplace management. In addition, you are the point of contact for suppliers on technical matters. You ensure that technical failures are fixed, by bringing in the right parties and/or people.

B-Securité’s control room, also known as Monitoring Alarm Receiving Centre (MARC), is equipped with high-end technology, such as aggression detection, peoplecount following COVID-19, accident detection and high-end analysis tools. The MARC has been specially organised for the Basic-Fit safety chain as a Business Alarm Centre (BAC). The MARC chain consists of intelligent cameras and detection with the latest communication technology. Currently, over 1,300 Basic-Fit sports clubs across Europe are ‘live’ connected. This modus operandi allows B-Securité’s MARC to effectively and efficiently secure affiliated Basic-Fit sports clubs, provide customer service, investigative work and project live camera surveillance at Basic-Fit’s request.
What do you do as an Engineering Coordinator?
- You will be operationally responsible for handling technical failures at the MARC;
- You intervene timely and appropriately in technical bottlenecks, including keeping club records current, and report to the Manager of Technology;
- You identify abnormalities;
- You will submit solicited and unsolicited technical improvement proposals;
- You review/control/audit the quality of the integrated system;
- You will identify operational technical bottlenecks, analyze the causes and solve first-line technical problems – as far as possible – and make written reports on them;
- You will take care of technical mutations in the appropriate systems;
- You are the point of contact for the control room staff regarding technical issues and perform acceptance testing of the gyms that are delivered.
What makes an Engineering Coordinator?
You have prior technical education at the mbo+ level (mbo employee ICT Support level 2);
You have an affinity for security and technology;
You have at least 4 years of experience within the technology used in emergency call centers;
You have technical coordination skills;
You are proactive and show initiative;
You are stress resistant and work accurately;
You work accurately and systematically and adhere to protocols;
You have a service-oriented and customer-friendly attitude;
You have good communication skills;
You are meticulous and have integrity;
You have an eye for (technical) details during breakdowns;
You have an adequate command of the Dutch and English languages;
You are goal-oriented;
You can work as part of a team and under management direction;
You are alert and incisive and open to self-development.

A starting salary of €2,724.55 to €4,012.48 gross (depending on education, experience and competencies) per 4
weeks based on 38 hours;
